Château des Fines Roches

In the twilight of the 19th or at the dawn of the 20th century, long after dressed stone and polished stone, came the era of Fines Roches. It’s true that it required audacity and whimsy to imagine such a decor in Châteauneuf-du-Pape. Yet these stones, intended originally to mask a cellar, and which would later become the cradle of our families, have succeeded perfectly in being adopted by the scenery, to such an extent that without these stones, it would lose a large part of its history. Besides, let’s return to our history. It’s true that before us, the château had its existence. After its creator, Auguste Constantin, it was Marquis Folco de Baroncelli, the descendant of an old Florentine family, who in 1915 made it a crucible of Provençal culture and tradition. Then in the mid-1930s, to our great delight, the property became part of the Mousset family patrimony.
